As you already know that the first habit of highly effective people is To be Proactive. Without first habit, you can’t jump to the second habit. So, you have to develop the nature of proactiveness in your life first. As said earlier, don’t be reactive as those who react based on situations. A highly reactive people never react based on surrounding situations. They rather response according to situations.
The second habit of highly effective people is, to begin with the end in mind.
To begin with the end in mind means to start with the clear understanding of your destination. Many people don’t have a clear vision about their mission due to which they may start but never reach the destination. In order to accomplish our mission, we must imagine it about what it will be like at the end. It is possible to be busy, very busy without being very effective.
Management is doing things right while the leadership is doing the right things. So, it’s not only about management, it’s about leadership too. Guess what will happen if your management is good but the things you are managing is not right, then ……???? So, no management success can compensate for failure in leadership.
One of the main reason we are not able to achieve what we want is due to the fact that we care about result better than works. As a result, we don’t give our best in the works we need to do. Concentrate all your abilities and efforts on the task at hand, not worrying about the next job or promotion. The result is not in your hands but the ability to accomplish the task is in your hand.
The principle doesn’t change, our understanding of them change. If you visualize wrong things, you will produce the wrong things.
So, the second habit of most effective people is, to begin with the end in mind.
They see it, they feel it, they experience it before they actually do it.
